What is counseling and when it is recommended
Counseling is a goal-based approach that focuses on potential solutions for the client's problems.
It fosters change by setting reachable goals and by finding strategies to increase the client's well-being.
Counseling is recommended when stress becomes overwhelming and the usual coping strategies are no longer effective.
When life changes or transitions occur, sometimes we feel unbalanced and we might need to look at the situation from a different prospective.
Changing job, the end of a relationship, relocating to a different country, feeling stuck in making a decision, having trouble with communication are only some of the examples of situations that might require professional help through counseling.
